How to measure the axial clearance of the gear pump?

1. Select the appropriate size of the plum wrench (preferably) or open-end wrench; use an outer diameter micrometer of 0 ~ 25mm;

3, pressure wire operation

 

(1) Assembling the main and driven gears;

 

(2) Pasting the three sections of soft lead wire with the grease on the pitch circle of the main and driven gears;

 

(3) Install the pump cover (including the gasket and the bushing), and tighten the nut symmetrically and evenly in 2~3 times;

 

(4) Unscrew the pump cover nut evenly and symmetrically, remove the pump cover, remove the soft lead wire and clean it;

 

(5) Select 4 measuring points on each lead wire piece, measure the thickness of the soft lead wire piece with an outer diameter micrometer and make a measurement record;

 

4, measurement data analysis

 

(1) Calculate the average value of the eight measured values, that is, the axial gap;

 

(2) According to the measured axial gap value and the normal value range (generally 0.06 ~ 0.10mm, low pressure gear pump allowed to 0.10 ~ 0.25mm), make the conclusion that it can continue to use or need to be repaired.
